Think like a rich marketer, not a poor prospect
ByIn life there are always 2 sides of the same coin.
Knowledgeable and ignorant, rich and poor, marketers and prospects.
The chances are if you are one of these sides of a coin, you will be on the same side for all 3.
What?
Chances are if you are knowledgeable, you are rich (whether in cash, time or quality of life) and are a marketer.
If you are ignorant, then you are more than likely poor and a prospect.
Now it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to guess which you would like to be!
And to be quite frank if we can get you to be a knowledable marketer, then you will become rich, if not rich at least be able to replace your current income, and start to lead the kind of life you have always wanted.
So how do we do it?
Well here are my top 5 tips for becoming a knowledgeable, rich marketer instead of an ignorant, poor prospect;
1. Unsubscribe from all crap you get sent every day. The guys that only ever send you free stuff and never anything else of any substance, like this.
2. Stay on the lists of people who you like, who are attempting to reach out to you in a no-hype push button type manner. Real marketers of quality, not just your run of the mill adswappers.
3. When you sign up to a list of someone you like and feel you can align yourself with, look at the sales funnel they have in place, the words, phrases they use and the price structure too.
4. Keep all the mails they send you in a folder either in your email provider or on your desk top. Look at the way they structure them, the offers they make and the headlines they use. If you have 4 or 5 of these from top marketers then you two really cool things.
A. Quality content that you can learn how to market properly from.
B. Quality “swipe” you can edit into your own style in the future.
5. If you like one marketer in particular, ask them to be your mentor. Having a mentor is definately the quickest way to grow your business. Having someone in your corner to help, advise, motivate and inspire is invaluable.
If you can shift your mindset from that of prospect to marketer then you will increase your knowledge.
It will also increase your confidence in your ability, which will in turn set you free to start to create your own products and find the wealth you are looking for.
Whether that wealth be in monetry, time or quality of life terms you will find yourself a more content person, who markets in a professional giving manner, willing and capable of helping others to change their own mindsets and reach their own personal goals.
Tilley great info. I have had great success in this industry because I take care of people. The money comes by doing that first! I have just started fresh concerning mail in my inbox. I don’t deliver crap and I don’t want to read crap. Great info here and I wish you the best.

Like many of us I suppose, I have to edit my inbox every couple of months just to block the ‘chancer’ IMs from the quality IMs, which tend to be the guys that have been around for a while and have proved themselves over an extended period of time. What about you Anthony, who do you follow? Are there many of them?

Yes a good clean out every now and again always seems necessary.
The 2 marketers I follow in the main are Alex Jeffreys and Lee McIntyre. Both good honest guys and they’re Brits.
I also very much like Brendan Burchard he really makes top quality training videos.
Of course you’ve gotta listen to people like Mike Filsaime and Rich Scheffren too.
There’s a guy from Cardiff now lives in the States I hear is pretty good but can’t think of his name for now

You’re right about studying the good guys. I’m learning – albeit slowly.
Re: Unsubscribe – This doesn’t seem to work as when I do this I get twenty+ emails from people I don’t know all selling the same stuff. Then I get twenty+ email from THEIR affiliates, then twenty+ emails from THEIRS, ad infinitum ALL IN THE SAME DAY!!!
This means that I end up with thousand of emails daily – all of which I have to sift through to fing the guys I really want to learn from.
The other problem I have is that the senders seem to change their title name to things like Your Helper or Your Online Mentor, and many other different formats. These are often from people I am learning from – and herein lies a big problem… because …
When I get the thousands of emails, I find that deletng them is the best way to cut down my Inbox overload. Yes, this takes time, and often I find that I’ve deleted from someone I respect just because they have used an unknown name on their email .
SO … PLEASE guys, use your own name so that you don’t get deleted. I’m still learning and it’s difficult if I’m not acquiring the info I need to succeed.
AND … PLEASE … DO NOT SEND OUT MORE THAN ONE EMAIL PER DAY as it crams up my Inbox. If you have lots to tell me, rather put it in one link than can send me to other links.

Yes my friend people changing their names in emails does happen, basically because they are sending crap and keep changing their details so you think “who’s this guy? and open the mail and hopefully click on the link.
If they are changing their names all the time then you don’t want to be learning from this kind of marketer anyway.
What might be worth doing is unsubbing from anyone who you don’t recognize, chanches are you aren’t gonna miss much, these kind of people never created their own products and are not bringing value to the marketplace anyway.
You could also consider creating a new email address specifically for the people you really like and subscribe with that, then you know you are only gonna get the good stuff in there, and this will allow to then get rid of the rubbish from your main address over time and not get the frustration of trying to find the good stuff because its in the other mail box.

I sure understand your frustration if you ended up with people hitting the spam button after that mail because this is a great post.
I always try to encourage people to unsubscribe to all the crap and follow the ones they can learn from too. I am sorry to say that there are not many persons to trust in this business.

After around one year of studying online marketing and being scammed many times it seems like the the online marketing aquarium is filled with cannibalistic fish who are only after their own personal gains and couldn’t care less about individuals making an “honest” attempt in the field.No direct offense towards you personally,merely a generalization of the facts.I will continue and strive to achieve my desire.I am very cautious at this time.Best wishes.

Like ever business in the world, there are good and bad, and it is difficult to work out which is which until sometimes it is too late.
Just keep on looking and googling the people you want to find out about and don’t pay them any money until you really feel they are gonna go out their way to help you.

Good tips Anthony basically keep your eye on the prize and only concentrate on tasks that will make you money.
blog commenting, forum posting, building a list, press releases, article marketing, then at a later date for beginners product creation….
Soak everything up like a sponge and learn all you can about your niche and internet marketing in general. Too much b.s leads to information overload which is not good at all especially for a beginner.

In case people are wondering what Ioan is referring to, I sent a mail to my list letting them know I had written this blog post and got more complaints than I have for any mail.
I was completely blown away!
So I mailed them again saying “If you think this is SPAM, Unsubscribe”
I am trying to help people and it just got me really riled so I told them so.
I am one of the good guys trying to make a difference and help people and felt like it was thrown back in my face.
So I just had to say something.
